ShineBox offers fans a refreshing alternative to processed, modern rock. Formed in late 2009, the band entered the thriving Tampa Bay music scene with a back-to-basics, no-nonsense rock & roll sound rarely heard in todays local music circuit.
Their debut self-titled EP offers strong melodies, rich guitars, and a lively rhythm section developed within seconds of the first track. The album boasts a vintage heart coupled with youthful originality. The lyrics are dark, yet hopeful, with overtones of modern angst, and contrasted by energetic, upbeat grooves. The sound is full and Spector-esque, and the urge to crank the volume is nearly impossible to overcome.
On stage, the Tampa Bay natives bare their hearts and souls without pretense. Their shows are energetic and real while maintaining a down to earth fan appreciation. The audience is brought along on every high and low as the guys live and breathe their music throughout every memorable performance.
